On Wednesday, August 19th, 2020 The NUEL Summer Cup 2020: League of Legends Finals went live on Twitch.TV at 7PM British Summer Time.

Skull Sir (play by play commentary) and Dusk (colour) partnered up with The NUEL to provide the coverage for the Finals. Produced by Patrick streamed directly on The NUEL’s Twitch channel (which recorded an average of 250-300 concurrent viewers).

It was a lot of fun to watch the VOD back as we saw the 5 Washed Up Randoms (Coventry University) take on the Cabbage Family (University of Kent). The best of 3 series did not disappoint and we saw some intense League of Legends UK Esports action.

The end of an era for 5 Washed Up Randoms as they competed in their last NUEL split and they are now graduating. It will now be up to the “newbie” jungler “Serasz” to carry on their legacy as he continues his studies in Coventry.

On the side of the Cabbage Family, a team that was stuck in a semi-finals loop for the past 2 years, finally broke it and swooped their way into the Summer Cup 2020 Grand Finals.

Both teams have competed together for around 2 years and they now look to challenge and take each other to their limit in the Summoner’s Rift.
